Lawyers for Ron Paul is teaming up with Tools for Justice to sue various state GOP parties and the Republican National Committee for election fraud, voter intimidation, outright violence, and other shenanigans that have occurred since the primary season began last year.
There have been many claims against the Republican Party this year, and I'm not quite sure if the accusations are true - this is the evil GOP we're talking about here - but these kind of stunts happen in every election. Since the ancient Greeks cast votes, elections have been corrupt and rigged to one degree or another.
And with literally trillions of dollars of stolen government loot, contracts, favors, subsidies, etc. up for bid, I would be shocked if Romney and Co. didn't try to steal votes and delegates away from the very effective grassroots organization of Paul's campaign.
Who knows if this lawsuit will go anywhere. I hope it does. But one thing is for certain: this last year has helped confirm to me how corrupt the much vaunted "democratic process" is and am happy to not participate in it.
