My name is Robert Taylor and I run "A Little Rebellion." I have been blogging for over four years now. I write because I have to; because I look around and see a society committing the predictable, suicidal mistakes of history: embracing Empire.
This embrace, like a germ, spreads into all others aspects of civil society, and our liberty and prosperity are being crushed. Empires breed debt, death, destruction of property, police states, surveillance, and restrictions of liberties and speech.
It is Empire that I oppose first and foremost, and live my life in internal and external rebellion against the American Leviathan state. I stand against taxes, government regulations, drug laws, corporate welfare, subsidies, central banking, money printing, and defend the classical liberal/libertarian/voluntaryist tradition of free markets, sound money, peace, civil liberties, and civil society against all forms of initiated coercion.
Against Empire, I take my stand and offer "a little rebellion."
Archives: My articles and blog posts have been published at PolicyMic, Strike The Root, Free Press for the Freedom Movement (FPP), , Modern Romans, Examiner, Dream Not of Today (now defunct).

Age: 26
Location: San Francisco, California
Purpose: This blog is an outlet for my frustrations, rants, and delusions. If I impress, it is solely by accident. I aim to improve myself with every day that I have in the universe, to convey the ideas behind the natural order that exists in society, to defend liberty, oppose coercion, and to stand on the shoulders of giants in hopes to one day see a voluntary society come to fruition (see my Raison D'etre)
Values: Religiously agnostic, politically atheist. Raised Catholic, and am forever plagued with guilt. I see a lot of value in Christianity and am proud to be a chain in the great traditions of Western Civilization. My ethics derives from the Non-Aggression Principle, a universal, objective, and rational morality that is the basis of peaceful social interaction, trade, commerce, civilization, and a private, spontaneous, humane, and just order.
Heroes and Influences: In no particular order: Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Walter Block, Stefan Molyneux, Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, Edmund Burke, Butler Shaffer, Ayn Rand, Hans-Hermann Hoppe, Thomas Jefferson, Friedrich Hayek, Henry Hazlitt, Robert Higgs, and many others.
Music: Rock n roll. A little bluesy, and a little twangy. Occasionally I post some music-related stuff. Anything that is raw and gives you that just-been-kicked-in-the-gut feeling.
Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you come back for more. Or even better, subscribe at the top of the home page and receive all my posts as soon as I upload them.
In liberty,
Robert Taylor
